Toronto's Walnut Studios is holding its annual Open House this Saturday, 31 May. Come along and join the fun at Canada's leading artist community at 83 Walnut Ave.
We wanted to extend an invitation to you and we hope that you can stop by for the daytime family environment, from 1.00 -- 6.00 pm, or the evening party with wine, food and DJ's from 7.00 -- 11.00 pm.
Walnut Studios is a massive arts studio in the King West Village housing over 45 artists in one warehouse. Established in 2007, Walnut is a hub of creativity, inspiration and collaboration.
The artists, who practice many disciplines will open their doors to allow the public to come in and share in the creative process. ACI's Executive Director, John West, will be exhibiting his latest works at the Open House.
We encourage Torontonians to support artists who contribute greatly to the development of the creative energy of the city by attending this open house and meeting the artists in the space where they create!
Walking through this studio is an absolutely jaw dropping view into the artistic mind. Torontonians will be able to see the creative process in a way that is normally hidden from away from the public.
Walnut Studios is one of the last artist workspaces in downtown Toronto. Located in the King West Village, this old factory is the creative home to 45 artists working in painting, jewelry, graffiti, fashion, drawing, photography, and furniture.
Walnut Studios is also an integral part of the King West Village community, providing art programming for elementary schools and art workshops for at risk youth, internships for students at OCAD University and tours to various social clubs throughout the city.
This open house will be a celebration of the rich artistic talent, which is nurtured in this sprawling authentic warehouse.
